"Solid protection worth paying for"
Pros
Easy to install and use. Reliable, non-intrusive, generally works well with antivirus, can be fine-tuned and set just as needed. Spyware protection built in. Deals offered on price.
Cons
May be excessive at times. Settings need doublechecking from time to time to make sure all is as it should be. Latecomer in the startup sequence.
Summary
I have been using it (first on trial) for a couple of years now, and am happy with it. This is an excellent product indeed, and if it were not for a few hitches over time, I'd give it the top rating. Ever since I installed it, the number of security incidents fell off drastically, which also made me purchase this firewall. Quite simply, it delivers. It is well worth reading the manual to make the best of all the facilities, yet it could be used effectively straight from the box. Developers seem to keep apace, too, and service response is prompt. Would I recommend it to a friend? Definitely.
