"Bad installation!"
Pros
Good all round Firewall, up to now.
Cons
After using Zonealarm since 1999, version seven is a 'no no'. Terrible problems experienced installing this product. Not only is it now a 38 meg download, when previously it was about 12 megs. Three times I tried installing and every time at 62% of the process, I kept getting messages telling me that I need to be an "administrator", yet I am the only one using my computer and ARE the administrator. I managed to use it, even after only 62% but had to click on the desktop icon to get it to load. I uninstalled however, when "error" messages kept appearing on the screen, and I experienced system crashes, fortunately, Windows XP didn't shut the computer down completely.
I suspect that Zonelabs have put another programme alongside the usual free Firewall, anti-spy or something which I do not require; this is probably the "15 day trial part" They should get back to the good unemcumbered software we all know and love.
I'm now looking for another Firewall, because I don't trust completely the one given with Windows to do the job properly.
I'll look at any future new version of Zonealarm and consider using it again.
