"By far the best I've found for casual web page generation."
Pros
I am not a professional web page developer. My background is electrical engineering. I need to be able to build and modify a several static web pages for my real estate business. I used to use a program called "Homesite," but it became useless a few years back because the WYSIWYG feature was tied to an obsolete version of Internet Explorer. I had considered buying a "Dream Weaver" License, but "Dream Weaver" seemed like gross over kill for what I needed. As a result, until I found 1stPage, I limped along using the old Netscape composer and a text editor.
1stPage represents a giant step forward in capability compared to those programs. (The adjective "giant" really doesn't do it justice.) I particularly like the ability to go back in forth nearly instantaneously between html coding and WYSIWYG. Changes in the html code are quickly reflected in the displayed imagery and changes made to the image are quickly reflected in the html code. To date I have just scratched the surface in terms of learning how to use its capability.
Cons
My only complaint is that 1stPage runs too slow on my older 1.7 GHz machine with 750 Mbytes RAM. My typing of changes easily get ahead of the changes being displayed. I expect that problem will soon cure itself as I now have a real reason to upgrade to a faster machine.

Hello, The fact you have a 1.7 GHz with 750MB RAM is not the reason you experienced slow typing/editing. It is a bug in the program. Using 2.8GHz with 1GB RAM and still have the slow editing. Those that do not experience the slow editing must have a particular system board and CPU that handles whatever Evrsoft coded.
