I actually got kind of excited when I saw this program and then I tried it. It was completely useless to me on my Windows Mobile 6 device because of one very tiny thing. My personal wlan at home has the SSID broadcast disabled. It literally didn't know what to do with it even though I hand fed it the information. For once the operating system did something better. Sorry folks but this one is not a winner in my book.

Dear soul_thief,
My name is Amir, and I am a product manager here at WeFi.
Thanks for pointing it out. It is indeed true we do not support hidden SSID?s, as it is a very uncommon practice. Furthermore, I would also like to point out that this practice is not recommended by Microsoft (see, for example, http://blogs.technet.com/networking/archive/2008/02/08/non-broadcast-wireless-ssids-why-hidden-wireless-networks-are-a-bad-idea.aspx).
However, if we see that a lot of users indeed raise this as an issue, we will introduce a solution for that in future version.
If you have any more queries or feedback, don?t hesitate to contact us at support@wefi.com.
Thanks,
Amir

Hello Amir. I recently installed this application on my WM6 device (an SCH-i760) & it worked for a while & then began to constantly crash my device. I'm not sure why that happened but I liked the software while it worked. I had to remove it from hope from my device but I will try it again in a future version

Wow, I really wasn't expecting a response but thank you for taking the time to do so. I do agree with you completely concerning what you have posted but, it is not the only security measure I have in place by far. Unfortunately, because of the hybrid nature of my wlan I do use WEP, would prefer WPA and a radius server but again not all operating systems play nice with that right now and it's extremely time consuming to setup.

But again, nice product, it just did not suit my needs. Good luck.

It would have been nice to know it's not supported by Vista before I downloaded it.
