Since I haven't used any of these uninstallers, other than the ones with the programs or the removal tool in the control panel, is there a reliable program that I can now run to get get rid of any junk files left behind? Will this CCleaner do the trick?

How about Norton 360? Because no windows uninstaller will let you completely remove it. Infact Norton wont even let you remove it. If you are somehow lucky to get one part off than the other bits of software that work with it freak out and wont uninstall.

I have used Your Uninstaller and Revo Uninstaller and they are both good. However, Smarty Uninstaller does a better job, especially with difficult programs like Norton or McAfee, where even with their proprietary uninstaller tools you cannot get all the program off your computer. I use only Smarty Uninstaller, and I uninstall every program completely before installing an update and I have no problems with Vista anymore.

Your Uninstaller 2008 saved the day for me! My copy of adobe reader went bad and would not open documents... but the old (non-working) version of adobe reader would not uninstall, so I could not install a new version! I saw Your Uninstaller on C net and tried it... the situation was solved in about one minute!!! I recommend this product!

Have used both ZSoft and Revo Uninstallers, both are great and easy to use. Have noticed when uninstalling a program like Nero that even after running the built in uninstall function there are several thousand items left over. The remaining items are removed easily.
I use Revo most of the time.
