Comments on: 'Duke Nukem Forever' teaser trailer

After 10-and-a-half years of development on the (once) highly anticipated first-person shooter, Duke Nukem Forever is back on the scene with a new teaser trailer. Does this mean the game is close, or are they pulling our chains again?

10 years ago in 1997, they claimed DN4 was in the making. 2001 they showed us a trailer and the name of DN4 becomes Duke Nukem Forever. They even claimed that they originally began with the original Quake engine then decided to go with the Unreal engine half way through which was why DN4 originally took so long and never was released due to legal reasons after changing technologies.

It's now 2008 (a couple weeks away) and we get news that they are STILL working on it and give us a tiny teaser trailer. Hmmm... With games like Hellgate London (beautifully done 3rd/1st person RPG hybrid) and Crysis (the new FPS by the makers of Far Cry) Crysis is graphically ahead of the curve like MS Flight Simulator X, there's is no hardware out there that can play these games on the highest quality settings... I'm interested in what has the 3DRealm team has been up to.

I don't know what to think of this. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

They need to just bury this idea. It's just not good for us pc gaming fanatics to keep being exposed to broken promises. Deal or no Deal?
