Google isn't just aiming to creating a killer phone; its goal is to get its applications onto every make and model of cell phone available. Would you use Google to power your cell phone?

Perfect Cell Phone
by Temporallobe9 November 6, 2007 5:11 PM PST: As a Traumatic Brain Injury Survivor, I face a few obstacles every day. I suffer from Short Term Memory Loss and Mild aphasia. This is more than forgetting passwords, I forget my location on earth, I forget where I am going, I forget why I am going somewhere. That being said I have been able to run the Chicago Marathon, the Vancouver Triathlon, get my first aid license and I am in my third semester at College. I have a HTC S621 smartphone. It helps me with my to do lists. I.e go to room 3118 for math. I have wifi on it so I can connect to my Microsoft Outlook to let me know what I need to do and where I need to be. What would make it a step would be a GPS and turn by turn direction. It does store my music, and operate as my cell phone, but there are some limitations. For me a phone that had my daily schedule, and prompts on where to be, how to get there, and what to do after. Obviously I would use Windows mobile, or Google Mobile. But a nice clear connection and easy to follow instruction on how to keep everything inline. I think the ability for others to locate me would be a great help. I often call for help but can't remember where I am, so it is hard for those close to me to find me. A larger memory storage as I use a Video recorder in my classes, and wake up early before tests to watch the videos about to be tested. Having the ability to watch that on my phone is also a great benefit. Not to mention being able to acedemic searches while in a two hour transit to school.; Like this Reply to this comment

ABILITY TO FAX

by compleat November 6, 2007 7:36 PM PST: Strange only 9 people have responded to this - 7 of which are of the same opinion as myself - we just want a phone that works everywhee without the 'added' advantages of all the extra junk phone people seemingly want to 'add' as an attractant for bozos....ie: Ipod, camera etc. Why not just make one that works without all the other rubbish we don't want - I already have a very good camera, and stereo and tv and.... but I haven't had the opportunity to have a very good mobile phone that does what it is supposed to yet.; Like this Reply to this comment

Wish list for mobile phone
by Rangam November 6, 2007 7:37 PM PST: Now this "wish" which is definitely harboring in the realms of hardware as well as software - is for a mobile to take two take SIM cards - both of which should be operative at the same time. In coming calls from one if the other is busy - to be shown as "busy" or directed to voice mail as selected. SIM cards should be from differing service providers.
This saves me from carrying two phones around when I am travelling and all other resultant benefits of one phone rather than two.; Like this Reply to this comment

The Ability to Study Flash Cards

This way, in my free time, I can study a few words here and there. I also wished I could do this with the Sony PSP in a non-homebrew way. Dream cell phone
by alj770 November 7, 2007 12:36 AM PST: A google phone would be a great start, but I want to be able to just enter a URL into the phone and not have to wait forever, mess with the buttons and lose the emails while scrolling around for them....in short, I want a phone that I can just tap into to get the news and my email without struggling for it. My Dream Mobile Phone
by carras589 November 7, 2007 3:21 AM PST: I wear in-canal hearing aids and need a set which I can use with these hearing aids. I would love some modern applications but finding a one I can use is impossible.
I currently have an 'elderly' Samsung that can call and allows me to text - end of! When I broke down on a heavily used motorway I found it a nightmare trying to call for help.
I also carry an 'elderly' PSION PDA because it has Word and Excel on it and I use these applications on the move. I have not found a Blueberry of any of the ilk with these applications.
So there we are a dream mobile for the deaf, with office applications and the Internet!; Like this Reply to this comment

My Wish List

What I would like is a software download to convert to Google phone program. and when Im due for an Upgrade on my contract, I can select the Google phone - will this be possible?
