Adobe Photoshop is a fantastic image-editing program, but what if you can't afford it or don't need that level of sophistication? These free design tools cover nearly all of the image-editing functionality that basic users need.
It's simple.
It's stabile
It's quick to load.
All it does it make square images...but I use it all the time. Great for icons. I use it for marketing at work.

- Have you tried artweaver. It's a very good image editing software and with lots of features. But best of all it's free.
