Comments on: Best Firefox extension ever
There are certainly a number of excellent candidates, but only one Firefox add-on rises above the rest to claim the crown of best extension ever.

It is like Excel macros, but for the web browser. It can automate logins (like Roboform), but it can do _much_ more: After the login, it can navigate right to the page where I want to be. It also automates my daily standard searches, online banking and helps we uploading pictures to Flickr. It saves me about 1-2 hours PER DAY.
& i also use Down'em All, IE Tab, Fasterfox...
thats all...i need...
& Firefox rocks...
& by the way I also use WINDOWS VISTA ULTIMATE & no problems yet with firefox...
For all of the web-heads out there, I thought this would've been on the list.

I host a column on my site called Fireday (http://www.dcs-media.com/fireday/default.aspx), which reviews all of the latest Firefox extensions every Friday.

TabCatalog (gives thumbnail view of tabs)
New Tab Button on Tab Bar (for when there isn't enough space to double click)
Foxmarks- for syncing bookmarks on different machines. BRILLIANT. I use a laptop in different locations, have a PC at home and workstation in the office. All with synced bookmarks. When I had to re-format the laptop, installed Firefox, installed Foxmarks, re-synced with server... and voila! No more lost bookmarks. If I ONLY had 1 extension it would be this one. I would even pay for it (using other people's blood).
Colourful Tabs
Makes tabbed browsing soothing on the eyes. Lovely!
Gmail and GSpace plugins
I get my GoogleMail notification within Firefox, and can use the GSpce to upload files directly into my GoogleMail space.
Trailfire
Have not done a lot with this yet, but think I am sitting on a gold mine with it. On my list of plugins to get to grips with.

But, more importantly, I think Adblock is one extension that people SHOULD live without. I don't use it, personally. Popups are one thing, and Firefox takes care of those on its own. Banner ads, on the other hand, are not obtrusive, are not annoying, and don't slow your surfing down (on cable). Many web developers rely on advertisement income as a full time job, while others (like myself) count on a few banner hits to ease server costs for their website.
I would thought by now this would not be n issue
