Skyfire's free third-party mobile browser for Windows Mobile and Symbian phones has two strong features that could plant it firmly in Opera Mobile's turf.

In order to overtake Opera, Skyfire has to do much more than what it currently offers. Much more. Even the JAVA based Bolt browser can match Skyfire. Yeah, Opera doesnt currently have flash support, but 9.5 will change it all. Even without flash and streaming video facilities, Opera has been a very good mobile browser and will remain the numero uno. And as the author said, the niceties might be small, but they matter a lot!

Take a moment to read the Skyfire privacy policy.
There is no privacy!
All you type and visit is recorded and usable and sell-able by the company!
Your name, Cell number, sites visited, pages viewed etc etc...
Even your passwords are stored, but these are "encrypted" for "privacy" but still available to the company.
Read it or weep.

From our FAQ at http://www.skyfire.com/support/faq/phones/ , you can see that we take our users? privacy very seriously. We do not store usernames and passwords, only session information and cookies. For instance, when you log into Yahoo, you provide username and password, and Skyfire passes this through to Yahoo and gets back a cookie. The original username and password are not retained. The only actual password that we store is the Skyfire password if user account is created, and that password is encrypted.

Technically we hold cookies and history in our data center, since this is how Skyfire works as server assisted browsing. Without this, users would not be able to see any history and would have to log into websites any time they navigate there. Users can always clear their cookies and history by going to "Menu > Settings > Advanced Options.? And, our users can always stay anonymous and browse without creating an account.

Skyfire also need to do some deals with mobile phone manufacturers in order to gain some more traction in the market. HTC and others have tied up Opera in their Windows Mobile phones, gaining great coverage that way.
