Slacker's free iPhone app looks good, sounds good, and is pretty much guaranteed to play tunes you'll like.

although, I am using a great app called StreamFurious that allows streaming of shoutcast stations.

Pandora had this idea way before this app came out, and i personally like it better


by J-Do January 13, 2009 4:21 PM PST: Pandora got there first, but Slacker Radio adds an aspect of control you don't get with it--being able to fill a station with a set of artists. Pandora's discovery algorithm is neat and often very close, if not spot-on. However, I find myself passing on a bunch of tunes the bots think match my starter song. I pass on fewer titles with Slacker because I can edit a category and junk the artists I can't stand, or I can build a new one with the artists I prefer. There may be fewer surprises that way, but there's also less disappointment. (That said, I still like Pandora et. al., too...); Like this
