I'm sorry, but this seems like one of those totally useless programs that should not have even been thought of, much less created. Windows already has the option to set when to turn the monitor off. And even if that didn't work for some reason or another, all monitors have buttons to turn it off manually, if it came to that. I can't see anything about this program that would make it worth wasting time downloading and installing to waste space and resources. But that's me.

I'm sorry, but I run a laptop, and my laptop doesn't have that function. Windows already has the option to set when to turn the monitor off, but only while running 2 moniters (or am I wrong?). And even if that didn't work for some reason or another, all monitors have buttons to turn it off manually, unless you're using a laptop. I can see lots of things about this program that would make it worth wasting time downloading and installing to waste space and resources. But that's me.

This is just what I needed to listen to music on the laptop at night & no more screen glare.
It does the job for me!!

I also have a laptop where this may be desirable. I use the very flexible NirCmd tool: www. nirsoft. net /utils/nircmd.html and set a shortcut to "nircmd monitor off". The nircmd package is 82kB including the documentation and can do a host of other things. Very useful for scripting.
