I have the same problem with updating applications. The only way I've been able to get around it is to delete the applications from both my iPhone and iTunes, then re-download them. Of course, I lose any data I had in the application, and it takes a long time to do, so this is obviously a poor solution.

Exactly the same here. I was forced to delete and reinstall apps constantly. The only thing that finally solved it was a restore of my phone. Something apparantly was messed up with iTunes on my phone because it's worked perfectly ever since. Now updates for apps transfer easily from my phone and computer no matter what. I can updateon either source with a fast sync updating the other. I also made sure I logged out and back into iTunes on my pc before restoring my phone. Something seemed to be messing up with their store. Hope this helps. It's great to finally having it work smoothly without any lingering updates.

I haven't experienced this issue with updates. I have no problem doing updates on my phone without being connected to itunes.

Everyone needs to download the RjDj album app! It's a sound software that uses the microphone on the iphone's cord to create a world of music and sound. It's mind-blowing! There are different themes that amplify, distort or harmonize all the sounds around you. It is one of of the most incredible thing I have ever experienced in my life and everybody needs to experience it too. BRILLIANT!

Stanza's been out since the App Store opened, or within the first week. New is not a good description of it.

I apologize, my friend. It would be more accurate to say "New to me." Thanks for pointing it out!

The app update download problem you have hasn't happened to me yet...
My favorite apps: YouNote, WritingPad, eWallet,GraphCalc and a2zPRO. Not your average list, I bet, but these are great, very useful apps, mostly free but none more than $0.99. Check them out!

I had the exact same problem. I read on the somethingawful forums that a user did a restore and it fixed it. So I restored and now they update with no problem!

I haven't had the problem you addressed with apps hanging up unfulfilled, however, I have noticed that certain apps just do not want to work...WIKI, for one, hasn't been able to run yet..it crashes instantly. Anyone know how to fix that problem????

I have encountered this problem many times. In addition to this, my apps would lock out, and music & videos would become inaccessible everytime I tried to update over the phone.

Workaround: My workaround has been to *NEVER* update over the phone. Always update apps in iTunes, and then sync. It is a shame, but that is what I've been doing to keep my sanity.

BTW, iTunes is so slow in responding to my clicks. Is that how it has always been? I hope Apple can relieve us from HAVING to use iTunes.

I have had the same DL problem where some updates take forever to DL. In some cases it has helped to just give them the time. In other cases, if I tap on the icon that says "Loading" it switches to "Pause" and then if I tap again it switches to "Loading" and the DL takes off.
This is an annoying problem but the recent OS upgrade certainly increased the speed of "installing" apps and updates.

GasBag is a neat idea, as long as they can work out some of the kinks. It's a bit slow and crashed out on me once where I had to reinstall, but I like the whole concept of it.

The other free app I like is Urbanspoon. Good for finding places to eat, although I haven't delved too far into it.

Jason... I just downloaded Opera 9.6 and saw immediately that I have a problem... It's for 'INTEL' only. Your download site doesn't say this; just the OS is stated... Unless there is a 9.6 version for prior Intel CPU's that I missed, I suggest adding the 'Intel' requirement to your comments
