And they actually neglected to provide the new version as you get a error "You tried to access the address http://www.opera.com/download/get.pl?id=31721&location=71&nothanks=yes&sub=marine, which is currently unavailable. Please make sure that the Web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated, then try reloading the page."

What a feature rich release aka utter foolishness.

Opera needs to add the feature of disabling features (I.E. SpeedDial) and the ability to move that tab bar before I'll ever use it.

You can already disable SpeedDial. Paste the following into the address bar and set the property (default 1) to 3: opera:config#Speed Dial State

The tab bar can be moved to the top, bottom, left or right of the screen, or turned off. You can also modify it with various sorts of skins for the UI that are available.

If you want a browser that you can massively configure and customize without having to load up a bunch of external add-ons and all the attendant compatibility issues, there is nothing in the world more tweakable and customizable than Opera.

i hv use opera for 2 years since version 9.25
The only problem that i face is that some Browser Helper Objects(BHOs) like download manager, yahoo toolbar etc cannot used, but this is a factor to maintain security level as some BHOs may dangerous.
But later i find out a tool called "Oget" that can make download manager can cooperate with Opera
Some may prefer firefox for its famous script called "NoScript" that secure users, but Opera can be configured to do what NoScript do with stronger protection as opera also provide "fraud protection" that provided by famous 3rd parties namely Haute Secure, Netcraft and PhishTank..
Summary: Opera is a high secure web browser with high speed browsing that jz a matter of do u willing to give it a deeper try..

Opera 9.6 is an essential upgrade from Opera 9.5. It's much more speedy to start the application and faster load-up of websites. Keep it up! Opera.
