by Salidarius September 6, 2008 11:55 AM PDT: I use another manager which is free, which does not connect to any outside servers. Flashget connects to all these advertisements, and sites and installs adware! Actually my firewall blocked a lot of the suspicious connections.

This is not a joke people, McAfee SiteAdvisor also says the following about flashget.com:

In our tests, we found downloads on this site that some people consider adware, spyware or other potentially unwanted programs.
