I've been using craigslist reader for a couple of months now. It takes some time to figure out how it works, but other than this it worked well.
What i didn't like:
1. No picture previews - can't see pictures while browsing
2. No search by city / zip, no global search. You can look only one craigslist site at a time.
3. Slow - takes several minutes to load posts on a broadband connection
I've also tried a bunch of other tools and here's the one that worked well for me: http://www.craiglook.com
It has the previews, can search by city / zip and can search within certain miles radius.
Good luck

- I would have to give my vote to the Craigslist Reader (available at MotionT.com). I have been using it for months and like the results. It was very easy to learn your way around the program. I have used it to score lots of free things locally and a few freelance writing jobs for Craigslist. You can?t be a program that makes it easy for you to both make and save money!
