Quickie for iPhone review

Send a message securely, knowing that the intended recipient is the only one who will ever read it with this messaging app.

Quickie for iPhone is a private messaging app that deletes messages seconds after they are opened, so there is no permanent record of the note. With this secure service, you can be sure that the only one to read your note will be the person you intended.

This app sports a sleek and stylish interface, with a cosmopolitan theme and a streamlined navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. There are minimal features included, but that's really the point of this app. When you first open the program, you'll have to set up an account by entering your preferred username, password, and e-mail address. To give you an idea of how the app works, you'll receive a message from the Quickie Team the first time you log in. When you open the message, a countdown timer will start at the top of the page, and as it gets close to zero, the words will start to fade from the screen. Messages are limited to 255 characters, so there's plenty of time to read the message before it disappears. But once it's gone, it's really gone. The toolbar at the bottom of the screen has options for adding or inviting friends, writing or reading quickies, and settings.

From the settings menu, you can change your e-mail address and password or access information about the app, itself. To find your friends, you can search by username, or you can invite them to join Quickie through e-mail or SMS. This app is free, there are no ads, and it runs smoothly, so if you're interested in a more secure way to send and receive messages, this is a good option to check out.
