Review: SpeedZooka scans your computer for errors and repairs them

Keep your PC running smoothly with this functional application.

SpeedZooka locates and corrects a variety of errors on your computer that cause it to run slowly. These errors include empty Registry keys, shared DLL entries, COM/ActiveX/OLE entries, application path entries, and more. These are all items that build up over time and eventually accumulate to the point that your processing speed is affected. Some of these errors can even cause applications to crash repeatedly, which is why SpeedZooka's ability to identify and repair them quickly is so convenient.

As soon as you open SpeedZooka for the first time, you're ready to scan. You can choose to scan for only certain types of errors or you can use the default and scan for all types. The scans are generally quick, but they will take longer if there are a lot of errors to be found. Once the scan is complete, you will see a list of the types of errors and how many were uncovered, along with a "what is this?" link that explains what each type of error actually is. At this point, you can instruct the app to repair the errors or you can disregard them.

There are several other useful features in SpeedZooka, as well, including a digital document shredder and a startup optimizer that lets you remove unwanted programs from your computer's startup sequence. This app is free to try, but to continue using and to access all of the features, you'll need to purchase a subscription for $29.95/year.
