Review: BaDoink Video Downloader makes quick work of any video you find online

Download online video to your Android smartphone or tablet using this custom browser.

BaDoink Video Downloader lets you quickly and easily get just about any online video on your smartphone or tablet. It gives you all of this in a full-functioning Web browser that is fast enough to compete with the big names in mobile browsing. All that you get with this awesome app is more than enough to make up for the lack of customization.

This app is a Web browser that lets you download any video you find while you're surfing the Web. It worked on every video we found during testing -- YouTube, Vimeo, even custom site players -- and downloaded with the full speed of our Internet connection. In addition to letting you download videos, BaDoink's browser is just as fast as most mobile browsers and offers bookmarks -- though it doesn't let you use tabbed browsing or customize the browser at all. Customization is a serious problem in this app. It doesn't even let you choose the format of the videos you download. Luckily, they come out in MP4 format, so it's almost a guarantee they will play on most players. It would be nice if the app offered its own built-in player, though. It does offer the ability to password protect a video in case you download something you don't want others to see, which can prove quite handy.

Though it's missing a few obvious features, it's still powerful enough to be the only video downloader you need on your mobile gadget. BaDoink earns major points for being able to download just about any video you find in the wild. The fact that it does it with style, speed, and a decent browser in tow is just gravy.
