Review: iHeartRadio is the ultimate mobile radio experience for your iPad

Access thousands of radio stations and audio programs from your iPad device.

iHeartRadio for iPad is designed to provide a full radio experience with the added benefits of a live Internet connection on your iOS device. It's fast, it's loaded with content, and it has a number of added features that make it a strong contender with other music streaming apps already on the App Store. For anyone recently transplanted to a new city or for those who don't own a traditional radio any longer, this is a great app to have on hand.

After installation, iHeartRadio will prompt you to sign in or create an account, something you can do with their service or through Facebook. It is not required, however, unless you want to use some of the more advanced features to save channels, create playlists, and more. After logging in or skipping the log-in, you can choose a station. The app will detect your location and show local stations first, but you can find a station at any time with the search tool, and you can then save or create new stations using existing feeds or specific songs or artists that you like. Along with the music, there are curated videos and photos of popular artists, a Friends list where you can connect with other users and share your favorites, and a number of additional tools like sleep timer, Facebook friend integration, last station reminder, and more. The interface here is extremely sleek and intuitive and the performance in all of our tests was top-notch.

iHeartRadio for iPad is loaded with features, quick to load new stations from around the country, and it looks great. This is recommended for any music lover.
