Review: EQTube allows you to find and create music playlists from YouTube

Quickly load and play back music videos from YouTube on your iOS device.

EQ Tube allows you to access and play one of numerous free playlists on YouTube. Consisting of music videos and broken down into numerous categories, the app provides quite a few options for how to view, save, interact with, and even play the videos. While there are other video playlist apps for YouTube, this is one of the few that actually feels like a music app first and a video app second.

When you load EQ Tube for the first time, you can dig through the featured playlists of which there are nearly a dozen matching different categories and genres. You can also search for specific music and start creating your own playlists or you can change the video quality in the settings menu. Everything loads very fast and the interface is stripped down to the point of making it feel intuitive and natural, not pasted on to YouTube. Not only can you search and create your own lists, but you can customize your lists from 35 different countries, making it possible to see the top music in places all over the world.

EQ Tube may feel at first like just another YouTube skin, but with the way the app has been broken down, the minimal use of ads, and the way you can customize your lists and save them to the app for future playback, it is a great free music companion for your iOS device.
