Review: Vid Collage allows you to combine or split up videos and images

Create collages out of your videos and images or split up long videos on your iPhone.

Vid Collage allows you to combine one to nine images and videos on your iPhone into a single collage you can share with friends and family. At the same time, you can use the app to split up long videos into multiple shorter ones for easier sharing. As a result, Vid Collage is a fairly useful app, if a bit limited in how it allows you to edit your videos.

When you open Vid Collage for the first time, you can start creating new collages right away. Just choose up to nine images and videos and then click the "Next" button to build them together. You can choose the order they go in along with a number of other effects onscreen. The interface here is easy to use, iOS 7 friendly and runs fairly smoothly without any major slowdowns or hiccups in our testing. Video splitting is fairly easy, as well, though it has length limitations in the free version of the app.

If you want to combine a number of videos or images into a single video or if you have videos that are too long to share on your mobile device, Vid Collage is a useful free app that will allow you to get around many of these issues quickly and easily. The sharing functions add to the usefulness as well, as you can export to save or send finished collages directly to friends and family.
