Instaframe for Instagram comes with many nice frames, stickers, fonts, and themes you can use to create beautiful photo cards, but it features too many ads and lags on occasions.
With Instaframe you can put one or two pictures into a decorative frame that you can then save and share on Instagram and other photo-sharing sites. Before you can get started, the app will badger you to agree to the StartApp ad platform, which will put ads all over your phone and tablet. On occasions when we wanted to upload a photo, the app slapped on a big banner ad that we had to dismiss to continue where we left off. However, even with the annoying ads, we really liked the variety of customization options this app provided. Once you pass the initial screen, which is slightly confusing, the app welcomes you with a straightforward and easy-to-use interface. The main menu features options for text input and font size, while the photo editing options populate the lower part of the screen. With just a double tap we were able to upload photos from our gallery or take photos using our stock camera. While the app performed well most of the time, on occasions we experienced a minor lag.
Instaframe for Instagram offers plenty of features but would benefit from less ads and better responsiveness. If you like to send personalized photo cards, and don't mind ads and occasional slow performance, then this app might be for you.
