Review: Display UTC Time in the Mac OS X menu bar, using UTC Clock for Mac

Coordinate calendar and user local time with UTC time, using this freeware application.

UTC Clock for Mac allows users to display UTC time and current date in the OS X menu bar without taking up a lot of space. The program's interface is unobtrusive, and the clock display makes it easy for users to determine current UTC time and the current date.

UTC Clock for Mac installs easily into the applications folder of OS X. Once opened, the application displays the current UTC time in the upper-right corner of the menu bar. The display is easy to read and pressing control and clicking within the clock display gives links to other Web sites such as HAARP and PrimeTime Shortwave, and also the option to quit the application, closing the UTC clock display. To display the current date, users just click the clock display, which will then momentarily display the current date. The application performed well and was easy to use; however, the lack of additional features, such as contrast and display color controls, lessens its overall appeal.

UTC Clock for Mac will be useful to aviation professionals who are dependent on keeping track of accurate time around the world, or to any user who, for any reason, needs to display current UTC time in their menu bar.
