Review: DL Certificate Maker creates digital certificates to share

Create and send certificates for a number of accomplishments with this easy-to-use iOS app.

DL Certificate Maker allows you to create certificates for just about anything with your mobile device, and while there are some performance issues it generally works as advertised. While the app does not allow you to print or mail the certificates you create, it does streamline the process of creating digital certificates that can be shared with just about anyone on your contact list with ease.

After loading DL Certificate Maker, you can fill in the blanks to start creating your certificate. This includes things like your Organization name, the presenter, the awardee, and the award being presented. You can also load in an image from the library or load your own. At the time of testing, however, there were some issues with the upload image feature. It would frequently cause the app to crash, making it largely ineffective. Everything else, however, ran smoothly in our tests and the resulting certificates look and read very well. The sending feature integrates with your Mail app so you'll need to have an e-mail address set up through there, but it exports quickly and sends fast.

If you want to send certificates as a thank you to vendor partners, little league players, colleagues, or employees without spending weeks getting them printed and mailed out, DL Certificate Maker will get the job done. Features are limited, the interface is very basic, and the upload image feature needs to be repaired, but it does work as intended for the most part.
