Review: Stick Cricket Premier League offers great graphics and smooth gameplay

Score runs on your Android device with this feature-packed Cricket simulator.

Stick Cricket Premier League boasts stylish graphics and quick performance, but it's a little difficult to get the hang of, at first. It's not as easy to figure out as similar batting games, which might be a little off-putting. The sheer number of options and customization makes it a ton of fun to play, though.

The game lets you join and control your favorite team from the Indian Premier League, but other cricket leagues don't join in on the fun. You can create a character, but you can only customize the name, skin, and hair color of your player. The animation doesn't try to copy high-end graphics of console games. Instead, it has a graphic flair all its own. It's a little cartoony, but it does look totally cool and the environments are really dynamic. As for gameplay, Stick Cricket Premier League responds very quickly to your taps and touches. You can choose different ways to swing, but timing your swing takes a little while to get used to. Once you've found the touch, you can rack up in-game dollars that let you buy new coaches and skills. There are deep statistics in each game, too. You'll have to navigate away from a pop-up ad that takes over your whole screen at the end of every match, though. Aside from that, the app is really a lot of fun.

Stick Cricket Premier League seems like a neat app for cricket fanatics and a good way to turn new players onto the game. If you don't mind rising to the challenge of a tougher game, the app will reward you for your patience.
