With its comprehensive features, good design, and easy-to-use menu, VirtualLab Data Recovery for Mac offers a great tool for those who need to restore files and drives. With its additional ability to recover iPods and partition drives, the program incorporates nearly everything a user would need for recovery.
Upon startup, VirtualLab Data Recovery for Mac guides the user on how to start their first recovery by pointing them to the recovery modules on the left. The program also gives the link to its user guide for those who might need it, but most won't with the program's well-designed main menu and clearly-labeled buttons. On the left side, the user is able to select the type of device or drive to restore. This includes full disks and drives, partitions, deleted files, RAID, photos, and even iPods, which is a feature not found on similar programs. In the lower-right corner, the user can enter an activation key, or purchase one at the click of a button. The program can be tried out for free with a 1MB recovered file size limit, while purchasing the full version removes this limitation. Clicking one of the left-side options brings up choices in the main menu, which are similarly easy to identify. Users first need to choose a description of the nature of the disk or drive problem. Then, they need to select the particular drive on which to take action. All of the available drives on the testing computer identified correctly. All scans completed quickly, as one would expect from this type of program.
As a disk scan and restore utility, VirtualLab Data Recovery for Mac works well and is a pleasure to look at and use, making it a good choice for many users.
