Review: Math Workout might be a little too basic for adults, but great for K-12

Play a multilevel, fast-paced math game filled with brain teasers.

Math Workout is a very polished app that includes plenty of fun math games designed for all ages. Sadly, most of the games might be too basic for users in high school or beyond. Younger users could really benefit from the brain exercise and fast thinking skills this game offers, though.

This brain-fitness game offers several different ways to test your addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division skills. Most of them hinge on being able to solve basic problems quickly and in bulk. Even though that adds to the challenge, it still might be a little too easy for users who aren't in middle or elementary school. The game starts off slow, with most of the advanced levels and brain teasers locked until you complete the lower levels. You can unlock them automatically and kick the ads off of Math Workout by paying $2. The game responds very quickly to your touches, which is nice for a game that hinges on speed. The blank white layout isn't much to get excited about, but it does make the game run smoothly, even on budget and outdated Androids.

Math Workout offers a great way to turn beginner math into a fun game. If you're still studying these subjects, it's an awesome study guide.
