Review: Fotor is a robust image editor and collage creator

Edit and customize your images for use online in this straightforward image editor.

Fotor is a finely-crafted image-editing tool that provides numerous filters and tools for free to customize your photos before uploading or sharing. The result is an easy-to-use piece of software with enough features to be useful, but not so many as to be overwhelming. It also happens to be free, and, combined with its collage creation tools, is a great download for any PC photo hounds.

When you first install Fotor you can start editing images right away. Click the Edit or Collage button and you can enter the basic editing menus for the software. There are dozens of different menus and filters for your images, some of them single-click filters and others multiple-option editing tools. The results are often similarly attractive, creating a very streamlined, easy-to-use interface similar to what you might find on the iPhone or iPad. While this is not a full-blown photo editing suite on par with Photoshop, it does allow you to add effects, change lighting, add borders, and crop and rotate any of your images, quickly, and then save and instantly share to Flickr, Facebook, or Twitter.

If you want a tool that has more features than the standard editing tools included with your Windows PC, then Fotor is a great place to start. With numerous features integrated into both the basic editing interface and the collage menus, you can create some very attractive images with the free tools, alone.
