InstaRetro for Instagram has too many ads and doesn't do too well in the filtering options category, either. It sits squarely at the bottom of the barrel of apps of its kind.
Though the app name-checks Instagram, it seems to have very little connection to that popular app. Instead, it's a direct rip-off of that app. Unfortunately, the filters in this app don't look nearly as good on top of your pictures. The invasive ads that seem to litter the app really detract from the experience. They pop up whenever you change filters and fill banner slots in the photo-editing menu. InstaRetro for Instagram lets you take new photos to edit, but there is a noticeable lag between tapping the shutter and actually taking the picture. Once you've finished editing, you can share pictures right from the app to most social networks--including Instagram.
The app does a few of the little things right, but most of the big things wrong. It has the unfortunate distinction of actually making your pictures worse more often than it makes them look better. There's no real reason to try InstaRetro for Instagram with so many great filter apps--including Instagram, itself--available for your mobile device.
