Review: Shirtagram lets you convert mobile photos into T-shirts

Choose a photo and convert it to a T-shirt from your iPhone.

The iPhone is a photo- taking, sharing, and editing device. There are thousands of apps released every month that allow you to do something new and exciting with your photos, and now there is Shirtagram. Taking the ubiquity of mobile photos and combining it with a personal touch and extremely simple ordering interface, Shirtagram allows you to create and send custom T-shirts with a few taps of the button.

The app is basically an ordering process. When you open it you will be asked to choose a photo. With integration to Flickr, Facebook, Instagram, and your photo library, it shouldn't be hard to find at least one photo in your collection. Shirtagram automatically filters these by resolution so you won't see any that are not suitable for printing. After choosing a photo, you can make changes to it, add effects, or change the coloring. Then you can select a shirt. There are many options, including t-shirts, hoodies, track jackets, and long-sleeve shirts. You can also choose from mugs, pillow cases, and iPhone covers. Finally, when done, tap the checkout button and you can enter your personal information and order your shirt or other item. The process is streamlined, which sacrifices some options, but the pictures you can create and customize are quite impressive.

If you are eager to turn any of the photos on your mobile accounts into a shirt or other item to share with a loved one, consider Shirtagram. The prices for the printed materials may be a little high (starting at $18/t-shirt) but the customization is unique and the convenience is amazing.
