Review: Track the exchange rate with CurrencyConverter for Mac

Track the exchange rate for multiple currencies with CurrencyConverter for Mac.

For international travelers, tracking conversion rates can help with locating the best deals available. While simple, CurrencyConverter for Mac allows users to track exchange rates across multiple currencies quickly and accurately.

The application is available for free as a dashboard widget, which downloaded directly into the widgets area. Installation simply required the user to activate the program into the main area, which completed quickly. There were no user instructions available, but this was not necessary due to the easy-to-use interface and operations. The user can add their base currency, whether it is the Dollar, Euro, or others, to compare to several others around the world. Adding different currencies automatically displayed the exchange rate in the main menu. CurrencyConverter for Mac had countless world currencies available, which displayed accurate and current exchange rates when compared to other, Web-based services. Users can also click an update button as often as needed to see if there are any rate changes. While much of this information is easily found on the Internet, the widget allows many currencies to be displayed in a well thought out and functional interface. Options are available to sort the lists by different criteria and to add things like tax rate to the display. Unfortunately, the rate needed to be added manually, which is a small disappointment.

CurrencyConverter for Mac is an easy-to-use widget that works well. It is suitable for those traders or travelers who need to track currency exchange rates easily.
