Copper Point of Sale Software for Mac 1.21 Review

Track sales, prices, and employees with Copper Point of Sale Software for Mac.

Businesses that perform sales transactions need a system to track and manage items and pricing. For those who do not have a dedicated system for transactions, Copper Point of Sale Software for Mac performs well, but lacks a few critical features.

Download of Copper Point of Sale Software for Mac completed quickly, but setup required acceptance of a lengthy user agreement. Users must also enter information on their company and provide a name, address, phone number, and password for settings and receipt printing. A help link to an instruction manual on the developer's Web site is available. For those that are not familiar with other business transaction software, the menu would not be easy to figure out, although the targeted user, the business owner, will likely be able to understand everything. The user can add sales personnel, items, prices, discounts, and even the tax rate. These can all be added to specific sales transactions. There is also a reporting option to allow users to see data on sales and revenues, which is a welcome feature. The transactions run well and are easy to interpret. Unfortunately, users can't link the program to an external barcode reader or other device, meaning each transaction must be entered manually. For small retailers, this may not be a disadvantage, but stores with a large number of transactions will find this more time-consuming. This program is available for free with no advertising.

For small businesses, Copper Point of Sale Software for Mac performs its functions well, but lacks some capabilities that the larger retailers would need.
