Users who know a lot about pop culture may look for a game to test their knowledge. Icon Pop Quiz is well thought out, but its bugs and gameplay are problematic.
Even though it's available for free, Icon Pop Quiz requires coins for certain features, which can be purchased in batches. Despite being available through the Google Play store, the application took a long time to download. While the graphics in the menus were well designed, they were not intuitive. As a result, the lack of any user instructions was a problem. The constant presence of pop-up ads made it difficult to navigate the menus. Users should be able to decipher the gameplay features with some trial and error. Upon first starting the game, the application locked up and needed to be restarted. After this completed, there were no other errors during testing. The game, itself, presents the user with a screen of tiles, which act as clues. The user must type in what they believe the tile represents, whether it be famous people or movie titles. While functional, manually typing in the responses quickly became tiresome. Users can ask for clues, but these cost coins, which require payment to replenish once emptied.
Icon Pop Quiz, while functional as a quiz game, offers a poorly-designed game experience when compared to other similar applications.
