Framing 1.1 Review

Arrange all of your smartphone's pictures into a cool collage with Framing.

With hundreds of photo-editing and collage-making apps on Android, a paid one has to be truly great to make it worth the download. With fewer framing and filtering options and more glitches than with most free apps, Framing doesn't make a very compelling case to ante up.

The app offers fewer than 40 layouts for you to make your collage. While that's more than you might need, it's not nearly as many as other apps offer. The layout is incredibly uninspired for a photo app, too. Putting pictures into your frame of choice requires tapping through multiple screens. You can't take a new picture to add to your frame or do serious editing to the pictures from inside the app, either. You can choose the type of frame you like and then adjust its size, weight, and color of the border. Once your collage is complete, Framing doesn't allow you to do anything with it but save.

Framing offers average results and lacks options that are frequently found in free apps. The fact that you have to pay $0.99 for it makes this app even less attractive since there are too many great, free Android apps that can help you edit photos and make cool collages.
