The ability to convert video files between different formats is important to users who have multiple devices. Vidsify Lite for Mac's periodic conversion failures and time restrictions make it an undesirable conversion program.
Vidsify Lite for Mac is a free trial version and offers a five-minute conversion limit. To unlock the ability to convert videos of any length, users must pay $2.99 for the full version of Vidsify. Download and setup of this program occurred seamlessly. The program does not offer any dedicated user instructions, but its interface is fairly intuitive and most users will have no trouble finding their way. Buttons allow the user to select specific videos for conversion. Along the bottom, check boxes indicate on which devices the user wants to watch the file. Unfortunately, there is not a separate drop-down to manually select the output format; but this is not a critical feature, especially for newer Mac users. In terms of functioning, some videos failed to convert and no explanation was given for the inability to transfer. In testing, most files converted quickly, and the output video matched the original in terms of quality. The program lacked the ability to modify attributes other than the format, which was a disappointment.
While mostly functional, Vidsify Lite for Mac's restrictions, lack of features, and problematic operation mean users should look elsewhere for a conversion program.
