Survive enemy squadrons and make your way to the final boss in pure arcade style with 1945 for Mac

Stay alive and defeat enemy squadrons with this classic remake of the old arcade game.

Looking for a fun game for your next 2-minute break? 1945 for Mac installs on your Mac dashboard as a simple widget and lets you revive memories of a well-known old-school arcade airplane shooting game. It is fun to play even though the airplane is not exactly quick to maneuver.

1945 for Mac features the classic scrolling gameplay, requiring you to shoot and bomb everything that moves while avoiding enemy missiles. While testing the game, we found two minor downsides, which don't really interfere with the gameplay, but are still worth mentioning as a part of the overall game experience. First, even on our up-to-date machine, not all of the menu buttons worked properly. Hopefully, this will be fixed in a future update. The restart button is working, however, so it was not a problem to actually replay the game. Another detail that bothered us was the game's lack of sound options. We would expect more from a dashboard game widget that we might like to have open and ready to play at all times. A nice touch is the ability to choose from two keyboard configurations.

1945 for Mac seems to be a good fit for the casual gamer looking for some quick shooting action or for the nostalgic fan of this classic arcade game.
