Convert video formats with Any Video Converter Professional

Convert videos quickly and accurately to play on any device with this capable software.

Any Video Converter Professional makes it very easy to convert video files one by one or in batches, to and from just about any video format you can play. With one of the largest and most diverse Profiles menus we've seen, chances are good that this premium video conversion utility has a profile just for your device. It's a simple matter of choosing the files you want to convert, selecting the device you want to play them on, and letting Any Video Converter do the rest. Any Video Converter also extracts audio from video files, which is something many free converters can't do. It even captures and converts online video from sites like YouTube, something many premium converters can't do, either. Recent updates to the program include compatibility with Windows 8. Any Video Converter Professional is free to try with a 3-minute limit. We tried the unlimited software.

Any Video Converter Professional opens with an attractive, cleanly executed user interface anchored by a list view displaying thumbnails, file data, and editing options for each file we added. Highlighting an added file displayed its data in the right-hand panel, which also included a preview player and access to editing and clip tools. The key to Any Video Converter's easy versatility is its Output Profile button, which accesses a wide range of device profiles by maker, such as Apple, Sony, and Microsoft, as well as operating system (Android) and type (Mobile Phone). It can even save video as HTML5 Embed Video and many other high-quality audio and video formats, as well as burn files to DVDs. Clicking Add URLs on the toolbar let us paste in Web video addresses for downloading and saving or converting, but we started by reconverting a saved YouTube video back into FLV, which Any Video Converter quickly accomplished.

While it's true that freeware sometimes violates the "You get what you pay for" rule, generally speaking, you get what you pay for, especially when it comes to software that handles large media files. With myriad choices, fast processing and excellent results, Any Video Converter Professional showed us why it's a top choice among premium video converters.

Editors' note: This is a review of the full version of Any Video Converter Professional 3.5.8. The trial version can convert up to 3 minutes only.
