Get answers with Ask FM

Ask serious or silly questions on this online community.

Social answers have become the latest trend in social media. You ask your question to a group of people on a site and receive both fun and informative answers, depending on the question. Joining the likes of popular sites such as Yahoo Answers and Formspring is Ask FM. It's a fun service, but it won't win anyone over with this mediocre app. Ask FM app doesn't bring anything to the experience that the site itself doesn't do.

Ask FM app looks like a front door to the site's Web page, which isn't even mobile-friendly. This makes the installation process confusing, because sometimes the app won't show up in your app menu. Once you're on the site, you can sign up through Facebook or Twitter, so you don't have to create a second account. The site allows you to share the questions you ask and the answers you receive through Facebook, but the share button can be glitchy. As for Ask FM's community, it's large enough that your questions will be answered quickly. You can even build up a pretty big group of friends in a few hours if you don't mind talking to strangers.

Even though Ask FM seems to be a fine forum for your questions, it's hard to be excited about an app that just acts as a gateway to the site, which doesn't even look as good on your phone as it would on a computer. If you're looking for a more fun alternative to other social answer sites, Ask FM is a good bet. Just don't expect to fall in love with its app.
