Bad Piggies is goofy and addictive

Prepare to lose track of time playing this fun and addictive game.

The creators of Angry Birds are back with a game that centers on pigs this time around, and bad ones at that. Bad Piggies sounds goofy in its description, but trust us, it has the makings of a very addictive game -- as long as you keep the sound on mute.

Bad Piggies' main menu includes buttons to share your results on various social media channels, and an options menu for controlling the sound and accessing the App Store. We tapped the Play button and were taken to a screen that contained four scenes to choose from: Ground Hog Day, When Pigs Fly, Flight in the Night, and Sand Box. We proceeded to Ground Hog Day, where the first level was unlocked. Going into the game, we weren't really sure how to play, but a hand guides you through the gameplay, which is pretty simple. You have to build a cart to go down a hill using the pieces provided, and construct it so that it won't tip over, and all this with the pig inside. Using our limited high-school-level physics knowledge, we built our first cart by placing the boxes and wheels into position and adding the pig. We then sent our cart down the hill successfully. Our second try, which included more boxes and some sort of air compression device, wasn't as successful and we had to consult the game's mechanic to help us build the right cart.

The only downfall of Bad Piggies is the music. It was incredibly annoying, so after our first round, we played with it with the sound turned off -- an easy fix. If you loved Angry Birds for its goofy, but addictive, gameplay, you'll love Bad Piggies. We recommend it for everyone.
