Mask your Web activities with VPN Express

Redirecting your Web browsing through a protected tunnel to a server hides your identity and lets you work around local restrictions.

From the name, you might think VPN Express is another VPN connectivity client. But you'd be wrong. VPN Express is a VPN, but only between your iOS device and the VPN Express servers. Through that server, your location and identity can be masked. Think of it as a proxy server for your iDevice. Installation is quick and the free app includes 300MB of traffic (one shot only) after which you pay for data transfers either in GB or in days used.

VPN Express can be used to hide your online identity and also to access sites that might be blocked in your area or by your provider for some reason. The connection uses 128-bit encryption (good but not great) and is quite fast, but there is a delay while accessing a site or service directly that is noticeable occasionally. Still, to reach sites you can't normally reach, or to keep your identity private, VPN Express is a good alternative to standard Web-based proxy services.

We used VPN Express without a hitch to access sites all over the Web, and in some countries where access to some sites is controlled or blocked, this is a solid workaround. The data rates are not cheap once you get in the habit of using VPN Express, but for casual users it may be a solid alternative. The ease with which VPN Express works, and the protection it offers, will be highly appealing for some users.
