Create your own to-do list using an intuitive, simple-to-use application for Mac, iProcrastinate.

iProcrastinate is a free, dark-themed productivity app that appears to be targeted at, but not necessarily limited to, students. Despite a couple of flaws, the application does quite a nice job, helped by its intuitive controls and simple interface.

The interface consists of three columns. On the left is Groups, where tasks are ordered according due date and priority level, with a Subject field where you can enter custom names and colors. Tasks are in the central column, and the steps the user specified while describing the task are listed in the third, right-side column.

We found it took only a couple of seconds to set up a task, so even novice productivity app users should enjoy using this app. Though it's designed primarily for students, this specific to-do list app can be used equally well for everyday tasks, although some critical features are missing, such as hours -- you can't specify the time of a deadline, just a specific day -- and alerts. The number of ongoing tasks or overdue tasks is displayed in a bugging, red-colored circle on the user's dock, but this isn't enough. We find the syncing option very useful, though you need to have your iPhone on the same network to sync it with the desktop version. However, you can sync tasks using your Dropbox account, which is neat, and you can link files to a specific task.

Overall, iProcrastinate is a nice, easy-to-use productivity application, yet its limitations make it useful mostly for students and for those who don't need advanced-level productivity software to keep themselves organized.
