Watch TV shows from around the world for free.

FreeSocialTV is a program that allows access to TV and radio programs from all over the world. Before you get too excited, though, the choices are still quite limited and you'll be presented with "special offers" and a toolbar you can download when you install the program.

The app, once installed, presents a nicely designer interface. It has the standard options found in most media players to play, pause, and stop recordings. The list of countries and available programs are on the right and you watch the video on the left. You can also watch in a full screen. We weren't all that impressed with the list of stations despite the promise of 1,500 TV stations and 1,500 radio stations -- it seemed like that span of stations on cable or satellite TV that build up the numbers but that you'll probably never watch. The biggest downside was that the app prompts you to add a toolbar and directs you to the FreeSocialTV site where you're shown "special offers," or as we like to call them, "ads." Although you probably won't require much help getting started and using this program, the Help button takes you to an online manual if you need assistance.

With more and more stations offering content online, we'd rather skip this "free" player and its push to have you download or purchase other products. We also found that FreeSocialTV didn't uninstall cleanly and left behind a desktop icon and some program folders.
