Put the pedal to the metal with Drag Racing for Android

Drag Racing for Android puts you in the driver's seat of your favorite street racer.

Drag Racing for Android puts you in the driver's seat of your favorite street racer. With more than 50 real cars to choose from, dozens of upgrades, and a nearly unlimited pool of opponents, don't be surprised to find yourself behind the wheel for hours at a time.

The game offers four racing modes to choose from. You can Race Offline against the computer, Quick Race one-on-one against an online opponent, join the Pro League against a group of online competitors, or race against Friends. Also, you can choose either quarter-mile or half-mile races, with the shorter distance better for smaller cars and the longer better for "muscle cars."

Once you get on the track, winning is all about getting a good start and timing your shifts perfectly. As your RPMs hit a critical point, watch for an indicator light telling you when to shift. Green gets you an optimal speed boost, blue gets you a minor boost, and red effectively slows you down. Time your shifts correctly, and you should walk away with a nice purse.

With each race you complete, you earn money and Respect Points, both of which are used to upgrade your cars or purchase new ones. So, as you can imagine, it can get quite addicting trying to rack up the dollars and buy all the upgrades. At the same time, however, the game can get a bit repetitive, which is why we would've welcomed some varied game play or courses to keep it fresh.

Whether you're a die-hard gearhead or a casual race enthusiast, we highly recommend you download Drag Racing. With so many cars to choose from, a virtually unlimited pool of opponents, and so many parts to upgrade, we think you'll love it.
