There are a ton of watermark programs out there, and with so many to choose from, it doesn't make sense to settle for a mediocre one. Thus, we can't say that we recommend Sofonesia Image Watermark particularly highly. It does work, but its lack of features and user-friendliness didn't do much to impress us.
The program's interface looks promising, with the watermark process outlined by three steps at the top. You first select the image that you want to watermark. This is an annoying task, as when the file dialog opens there's no option to view all image files; you must select the specific format that your file is in, and since the list is arranged alphabetically, the default format is bitmap. We also didn't like the fact that when we opened large images, instead of fitting them to the size of the interface, the program opened them full size, forcing us to scroll back and forth and up and down. It's hard to get an idea of what a watermark looks like on your image when you can't see the entire image! The program has a slider to adjust opacity and you can customize the watermark by changing the font, text size, color, and so on. Positioning the watermark is a matter of using arrow buttons on the interface, which is awkward, especially when you can't see your whole image. The program has no Help file, but this was of little concern, as it has so few features. Overall, although there was nothing functionally wrong with Sofonesia Image Watermark, we didn't like it. There are too many similar programs that are much easier to use and that offer many more features.
