We are predisposed to like any program that makes life easier, especially if that means collecting a lot of useful information in one place. That's exactly what Computer Specifications does. It's an extremely simple program with few features, but if you want a quick look at what's going on with your machine, you might find that it does exactly what you need it to do.
The program's designer didn't waste any time on aesthetics; Computer Specifications' interface is about as bare-bones as it could be. There's a series of text boxes displaying information and two buttons, and that's it. Click the Get Info button and the program displays your machine's battery status, processor cores, processor usage, processor name, operating system, amount of RAM, graphics card, graphics memory, display resolution, free space, thermal state, PC type, and PC model. That's the entirety of what Computer Specifications does. The About button displays the author's name and copyright information, but there's no Help file, and there are no settings or other features. Computer Specifications is obviously not a sophisticated tool for system analysis, but if you need to see your computer's basic stats at a glance, it does the job just fine.
Computer Specifications requires no installation; simply click on the file and it's ready to go. This makes it a great tool to keep on a USB drive if you're frequently called upon to solve problems on other people's machines.
