Chop Chop Runner is a side-scrolling nonstop-running game featuring Iro-san, the ninja hero of platformer Chop Chop Ninja.
Chop Chop Runner shares the premise of other nonstop-running games, but with a twist. You constantly move from left to right across randomly generated terrain (faster and faster as the game progresses) and you tap once to jump (the longer you hold, the higher you jump). But what makes Chop Chop Runner different is that once you're airborne, you can tap again to attack enemies and obstacles, ranging from squads of samurai to giant cobras, flaming skulls, and exploding barrels and rockets. You can rack up chains of enemy kills and--even cooler--if you tap to attack while any enemy is onscreen, you'll fly toward him, even if you happen to already be plummeting to your death. These out-of-nowhere saves are the best part of Chop Chop Runner.
Games are short (extremely short at first) and each run-through is measured in meters covered and enemies killed. Support for OpenFeint helps you track and compare your best scores with friends. Chop Chop Runner isn't particularly innovative, and its controls can be frustrating at times, but this is a fun download if you grab it for cheap or free.
