CyberMatrix Timesheets Standard is a basic program that allows employees to keep track of time spent on specific projects. Although it has some appealing features, functional problems undermine its usefulness.
The program's interface is plain, and the creators didn't go to any great lengths to make it attractive or intuitive. Still, it's not terribly difficult to figure out. You add your employee and client information, and when each employee logs in, he or she can record the time spent on specific clients' projects. Projects are listed on drop-down menus within the timesheet. The program allows up to 10 separate entries each day, which accommodates employees who work on multiple projects. CyberMatrix includes an excellent built-in expense report, but we had trouble with some of the other features, most specifically, the timesheet report. We were able to enter information into the timesheet just fine, but when it came time to run and print reports, we got an error message stating that the report folder didn't exist. When we looked at the built-in Help file, the screenshot of the report dialogue showed a long list of reports to choose from, but we found only an empty gray box. This makes any opinion of CyberMatrix Timesheets moot: If it can't do the most important thing that it needs to do, i.e. print timesheets, it's not much use as a business tool.
CyberMatrix Timesheets Standard has a 30-day trial period. It installs and uninstalls without issues. We do not recommend this program.
