Easy Tracker Lite - Time Tracking & Managing is comprehensive business software for tracking the amount of time spent on specific tasks and projects. Although parts of it aren't particularly intuitive, overall it's an effective and useful tool.
Easy Tracker Lite's interface seems well organized and is somewhat reminiscent of Microsoft Outlook, with a wizard that simplifies the process of setting up projects and tasks. However, it wasn't too long before we ran into some features that were a bit of trouble to figure out. For example, one of the most attractive things about Easy Tracker Lite is a small toolbar at the top of the screen that allows users to start, stop, or pause a task. This feature has the potential to be very useful indeed, but selecting a task proved troublesome. It turns out that there are two places within the program where tasks are listed, but only one of them works with the timer toolbar. The built-in Help file, although quite lengthy, is somewhat vague, and didn't offer much help as we were trying to figure all this out. A few other aspects of the program were similarly difficult to master, but overall, Easy Tracker Lite is easy to use, as long as you're willing to put in a little practice time.
Easy Tracker Lite - Time Tracking & Management has a 30-day trial period. The program installs desktop icons without asking and leaves a folder behind upon removal. With caveats, we recommend this program to all users.
