Basic scheduling spreadsheets

Track employee availability and scheduling with this group of Excel sheets.

Assign Multiple Daily Tasks to 20 People is a set of Excel spreadsheets that let users track availability and schedules for up to 20 employees. Although the program isn't bad for what it is, users should be aware that it is really just an Excel file, not a separate application.

The program's functions are separated into different spreadsheets within an Excel workbook. There are spreadsheets for employee availability, notes, schedules, and contact information. The program is geared toward home health care workers, but would be useful for any business that needs to track employee availability for multiple projects or clients. Because the bulk of the program's functions require users to simply enter information into the spreadsheet, it is intuitive and easy to use. We did think that the color choices for some of the spreadsheets were garish and a little hard to look at. The program includes a Help file that does a good job of explaining its functions. In addition to allowing users to easily track employee schedules and availability, the program has a few extra features that could come in handy. Users can e-mail employee schedules to each employee or save schedules as vCalendar files to be viewed in Outlook. QuickBooks users can import schedule information to help complete payroll processing. Overall, although the program is not fancy, it does contain helpful, easy-to-use-features.

The trial version of the program restricts the dates users can choose for scheduling. The program comes as a ZIP file and runs after extraction with no need for installation. We recommend this program to all users seeking an easy way to track employee availability and scheduling.
